How to create Assembly Work order

Creating Assembly work order

Work orders can be created in the 3PL account, 3PL client account, or on the brand account. 

  1. Go to https://shipping.shiphero.com/work-orders/

  2. Select Create Work Order

  3. Choose 3PL (if applicable), Warehouse (if applicable), and the requested due date. The requested due will follow normal Special Project SLAs of 3-5 days

  4. Name your work order and choose the work order type Assembly. The Assembly work order should be named the Assembly kit SKU we are kitting. Example name: Assembly SKU A

  5. If you select an assembly work order, you will be prompted to choose an Assembly SKU. If you select a custom work order, you will skip this step.

  6. Assembly work orders only: After selecting the Assembly kit, please input how many you want to create.

  7. For Assembly work orders, you will have the opportunity to type in packing and Assembly details. You must fill out with a detailed description of how the kit is to be assembled.

  8. For both assembly and custom work orders, you will be able to upload attachments (optional).

    NOTE: We support several file types: PDF, png, jpeg, jpg, doc, xlsx, xls, ppt, pptx, and mp4 (videos).

Special Case: Manual Breakdown & Receiving Before Assembly

If one or more components of the Assembly SKU are not yet available as the components on the Assembly SKU:

  1. Create a Manual Order. Go here to learn how to create a Manual order

  2. Create a Purchase Order. Go here to learn how to create a Purchase order

  3. You must attach the Manual order number and Purchase order number into the assembly details
  4. All Manual orders MUST begin with MO-WO and end with the Work order number given in ShipHero.
