Standard vs. Non-Standard Shipments
To create shipping labels to send products to Amazon, you need to know the weights, dimensions, and quantities of boxes you will be shipping. Depending on your situation, your Amazon FBA request will fit into one of two categories:
- Standard Amazon FBA Shipment
- Standard Amazon FBA Shipments meet BOTH of the following criteria:
- You know the weights, dimensions, and quantities of boxes you wish to send
- Your shipment does not require any special handling or preparation
- Standard Amazon FBA Shipments meet BOTH of the following criteria:
- Non-Standard Amazon FBA Shipment
- Non-Standard Amazon FBA Shipments meet ANY of the following criteria:
- You do not know the weights, dimensions, and quantities of boxes you wish to send
- Your shipment needs to be packed in master cartons before shipping
- Your shipment requires special handling or preparation (barcoding, kitting, etc.)
- Non-Standard Amazon FBA Shipments meet ANY of the following criteria:
How to Request a Standard Amazon FBA Shipment
- Create a shipping plan with Amazon
- Create a shipping plan in your seller or vendor account with Amazon
- Schedule your shipment to Amazon and download your shipping labels
- Note: Labels must be formatted for 4"x6" thermal labels
- Create a manual order in Brandfox’s Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- In the WMS, navigate to Orders > Create an Order
- Assign an "Order Number" using the following naming convention:
- ClientAcronym-AMZ-MMDDYY
- For order details, enter "Amazon FBA" as the recipient and include Brandfox’s address as the shipping address
- Under "Shipping Option", select "Generic" in the "Carrier" dropdown.
- Note: This manual order is for inventory management purposes only; the actual shipping information and labels will come directly from your Amazon Seller account
- Add the products and quantities you wish to ship to Amazon and click "Save Order"
- Once the order is submitted, click on the "Order Number" in the general "Manage Orders" tab to view the order details and place order on "Operator Hold". You will also upload any carton labels, shipping labels, pallet labels, BOLs etc by selecting the Upload Attachments button. If the shipment has any special packing notes enter those notes into the "Notes for Warehouse Packer" section.
- Please allow 3 business days for your shipment to be completed
- Under "Shipping Option", select "Generic" in the "Carrier" dropdown.
How to Request a Non-Standard Amazon FBA Shipment
- Create a manual order in Brandfox’s Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- In the WMS, navigate to Orders > Create an Order
- Assign an "Order Number" to the order, using the following naming convention:
- ClientAcronym-AMZ-MMDDYY
- For order details, enter "Amazon FBA" as the recipient and include Brandfox’s address as the shipping address
- Under "Shipping Option", select "Generic" in the "Carrier" dropdown.
- Note: This manual order is for inventory management purposes only; the actual shipping information and labels will come directly from your Amazon Seller account
- Add the products and quantities you wish to ship to Amazon and click "Save Order"
- Once the order is submitted, click on the "Order Number" in the general "Manage Orders" tab to view the order details and place order on "Operator Hold"
- Under "Shipping Option", select "Generic" in the "Carrier" dropdown.
- Submit a request to Brandfox for a Non-Standard Amazon FBA Shipment
- Submit your shipment request to our Value-Added Services team here
- If you have questions on how to fill out a Work order use this page
- Include details on the special handling or preparation needed for your shipment (barcoding, packing products into new master cartons, etc.)
- Please allow 3-5 business days for your project to be completed
- Once your project is completed, our team will provide you with the final weights, dimensions, and quantities of boxes of your shipment
- Create a shipping plan with Amazon
- Using the final weights, dimensions, and quantities of boxes provided by Brandfox, create a shipping plan in your seller or vendor account with Amazon
- Schedule your shipment to Amazon and download your shipping labels
- Note: Labels must be formatted for 4"x6" thermal labels
- Once labels are generated, submit your shipping labels and BOL to Brandfox
- Submit your shipping labels/pallet labels/BOL, by uploading them into the Manual Order that was created in step 1
